Complete package is safety tested, approved and listed with ETL and ETL-C. Products for the European Union are also safety tested, approved and carry a 3rd party, independent CE mark. Minimum operating depth for 1/4HP is 13in or 33cm, 1/2HP units require 14in or 36cm with and without lights.
Product Installation
Installation is very simple and the Aqua Series is ready to install out of the box with no need for an outside contractor. Tools and materials required can include: a shovel (to bury/trench cable,) conduit, polypropylene rope, cinder blocks (when anchoring), boat (when anchoring,) rebar or duckbill anchors (when mooring), and a medium Phillips head screwdriver. Complete installation instructions will be found within the Aqua Series owner’s manual which will be provided with the delivery of the product.
Average weight of shipment will range between 38-46lbs or 17-21kg.

Basic Installation Guidelines:
Warranty
The Aqua Series carries an all inclusive 2 year warranty. This warranty extends to the complete package including the unit, cable and power control center.
Warranty and service can be performed by more than 100 factory trained and certified Otterbine Service Centers found worldwide, or by Otterbine directly. A copy of the warranty statement for this product can be found within the owner’s manual.
Maintenance
The Aqua Series requires no preventative or annual maintenance. Should the screen clog, it can be cleaned by turning the unit off, unplugging it from the power source, and removing debris by hand or with a wire brush.
Winterization
The Aqua Series can remain in the water during the winter in freezing climates but will need to run a minimum of 12 hours per day, and should run 24 hours per day when temperatures drop below 20° Fahrenheit or -7° Celcius.
